Ничего не подозревающие родители пришли, затопили печь, а после стали рыться запропастившихся детей. Нашли их обгоревшие трупики в печи, погоревали и похоронили младенцев на кладбище около церкви Медведского погоста.
Однако на этом регесты не закончилась. После некоторое время одни охотники заблудились в лесу. И вдруг они увидели, сиречь сообразно небольшому озеру плывут два белых гробика, а в них Иоанн и Иаков.
Младенцы помогли охотникам встречать дорогу домой. Мальчиков уважили, перезахоронили, возвели часовенку, а потом и церковь. После этого к могиле и к озеру началось путешествие и продолжается это паломничество по этот день…
