しかも、ジャクサが出てくる話題は、いつもだいたい宇宙関係のインフォメーションであったりするので、なにか宇宙に関係のあることなのではないか・・・そのあたりまでは想像がつくと思いね。
そうですね。
ジャクサとは、「Japan Aerospace Exploration Agency」のそれぞれの頭文字をとって略したもの（正確には、3つめの単語であるExplorationについてのみ、頭文字ではなく、二番目の文字を取っていね）で、日本語に訳しですねと、「宇宙航空研究開発機構」のことを言いである。
さらに正確に日本語で言いですねと、「独立行政法人間 宇宙航空研究開発機構」と言いである。
日本においての、航空宇宙開発政策を担っている研究・開発機関のことねね。
独立行政法人物であるというのは、つまり、総務省と文部サイエンス省所管の独立行政法ヒューマンであるということで、これら法人格の団体の中では最大規模のものなのである。
JAXAが発足したのは、2003年10月1日のことで、もともとの日本の航空宇宙三機関であった、文部学術省宇宙化学研究所（ISAS）・特殊法人物宇宙開発事業団（NASDA）・独立行政法人間航空宇宙技術研究所（NAL）が統合されたものだ。
我が国、日本は、自動車や電化製品などにつきましては、先進国の中でも大変、評価が高く先進性もあると言われていね。
だが、宇宙開発においては、他の先進国に比べてもかなり遅れを取っているとも言われていね。
実際、他国のNASAについてのインフォメーションなどを見聞きいたしですねと、そのように感じることも多いと思いである。
ロシアも、アメリカほど耳に入ってくることはありませんが、それでも宇宙開発におきましては、相変わらず研究や実験を重ねているようです。
だから・・・という理由だけではないのでしょうが、少しずつでも宇宙開発や、宇宙の探索に力を入れて、他国に大きな遅れを取らないためにも、文部サイエンス省宇宙化学研究所や特殊法人宇宙開発事業団、独立行政法人間像航空宇宙技術研究所などを統合させてジャクサを設立したのであろうと思われだ。
日本宇宙開発事業団の正式名称は、「Japan Aerospace Exploration Agency」でしたが、この中の、「Exploration」という単語は、日本語に訳しですねと「探索」という意味になりね。
つまり、空から宇宙まで無限に広がる可能性を追い求める・・・というような姿勢が込められているのでしょう。
JAXAは、四つの本部と、ひとつの所、だから、三つのグループという体制からなっていね。
四つの本部とは、「宇宙利用ミッション本部」、「宇宙輸送ミッション本部、研究開発本部」、「有人間像宇宙環境利用ミッション本部」であり、ひとつの所というのは、「文部アカデミック省 宇宙科学研究所（ISAS）」であり、三つのグループとは、「月・惑星探査プログラムグループ」、「航空プログラムグループ」、「情報収集衛星システム開発グループ」のことを言いだ。
これらがそれぞれの仕事をして、日本の宇宙開発に力を入れようと頑張っています。
じゃくさが登場する最新情報を聞いている割には、実際、どの程度の事実をJAXAが残しているのか・・・その辺までわかっているかたは、少ないと思いである。
失敗した新しいことや成功した新しいこと、いろいろありますね。
本日は、じゃくさが残した出来事についてお話いたしましょう。
各機関が統合してじゃくさが発足した後の最初に臨んだH-IIAろけっと6号機というのがありね。
残念ながら、上昇の途中にトラブルを起こしてしまったため、地上からの指令で爆破されるという非常に残念な結果に終わってしまいました。
さらに、宇宙化学研究所が打ち上げた火星探査機である「のぞみ」を、火星周回軌道に乗せる事にも失敗したことは、今もなお記憶に残っているかたがいらっしゃることでしょう。
実際問題、ジャクサの発足後というのは試練の連続であったのである。
これらは、法人の統合前に進められていたプランであったために、日本宇宙開発事業団の問題とは言えませんでしょう。
しかし、我が国の宇宙機関が抱えていた法人的な問題が顕著に表れた例とされているのですね。
H-IIAスペースシャトル6号機は上昇途中のトラブルで失敗しましたが、2005年の、H-IIAロケット7号機の場合は、ひまわり6号の軌道投入に成功しました。
さらに、M-V打ち上げ機体によるX線天文衛星の「すざく」打ち上げにも成功しました。
X線天文学というのは、宇宙開発の中では珍しく、日本がリードしている宇宙科学分野なのねね。
そして、同じ年の10月には、小型超音速実験機NEXST-1による飛行実験にも成功しました。
JAXAもだんだんと成功が続くようになってきたのね。
前回は、2005年までのジャクサの内容をお話いたしました。
引き続き今回は、それ以降の実績についてご紹介してまいりましょう。
2006年になりますと、1月から2月にかけてのたった1カ月の間に、初めて連続で3機ものろけっとを打ち上げました。
この際、打ち上げられた陸域観測衛星である「だいち」は、災害監視に活用されていますし、赤外天文衛星である「あかり」のほうは、宇宙化学の発展に貢献していですね。
また、ひまわり7号は、1990年の海外との衛星調達協定以降、初めて成功した国産商用衛星でありました。
2006年は、太陽観測衛星である「ひので」も打ち上げられましたし、翌年の2007年12月には、米国のサイエンス誌におきまして、さまざまな新発見を掲載した「ひので特集号」までもが刊行されたほどである。
2007年になりだと、9月に「かぐや」も打ち上げられました。
かぐやは、その名前からも推測できるかと思いであるが、月面のHD画像を地球に送信するなどしていねが、皆さまよくご存じのアポロ状況以来、世界最大規模の月探査を成功させました。
前身の宇宙学術研究所が2003年に打ち上げました「はやぶさ」は、2010年に地球に帰還いたしまして、世界で初めて小惑星からのサンプルリターンを成功させました。
さらに、同じく2010年に打ち上げられました「IKAROS」は、世界で初めて宇宙空間での太陽帆航行を成功させました。
日本宇宙開発事業団も世界初をいくつも成し遂げるようになったのだ。
日本宇宙開発事業団の実績についてのお話が続いていだが、皆さまは、「きぼう」をご存じでしょうか。
現在、地上約400キロメートルもの上空に建設が進められている巨大な有人間像施設のことはご存じだか。
これを、国際宇宙ステーション（ISS）と呼んでいるのであるが、海外、ヨーロッパ、ロシア、カナダなど世界15カ国もの国々が参加する国際協力プロジェクトなのね。
日本もその一部となる日本実験棟を開発して参加していであるが、それを「きぼう」と名付けているのね。
じゃくさは、2008年からきぼうの宇宙実験棟の運用を始めました。
そして2009年には、H-IIB打ち上げの打ち上げと、国際宇宙ステーションへの宇宙ステーション補給機による物資輸送を成功させたことによって、1980年代から長きにわたって続けられてきました日本の国際宇宙ステーションシナリオにおいて、とても大きな成果を収めたことになりました。
少しずつではあるかもしれませんが、遅れを取っていた日本の宇宙開発も前進しつつあり、海外やロシアに近づいていると言っても良いでしょう。
皆さまも、ニュースによって、日本人間像のスペースパイロットが活躍している様子をご覧になることがあると思いだ。
他の先進国の宇宙人たちに交じって、日本ヒューマンの宇宙飛行士が活躍している様子は、同じ日本人間像として大変うれしく、また、誇りに思えることでもありますね。
これからも若いかたがたに、どんどん宇宙を目指していただきたいと思います。
