The guys over at graypants have come up with a clever use for all the left over trace paper that architects, engineers and designers fly though –
they call it the “sketchlight pendant”
Each ‘sketchlight pendant’ is totally unique – and are available for sale at the Graypants website here.
This is the name given to thin transparent tracing paper used by architects, engineers and others, mostly for sketching and overlaying.
I overlaid the lighting plan with a piece of bumwad and sketched on the lighting fixtures. Then I overlaid this on the ductwork drawing and saw where interferences occurred.
“yes – we’re talking about the trace paper version here, and we knew there had to be better home for our old process drawings than overstuffed file drawers and every other nook and cranny around our desks we could find. each sketchlight™ pendant is a unique handmade representation of our creative process”
