The guys over at graypants have come up with a clever use for all the left over trace paper that architects, engineers and designers fly though –
they call it the “sketchlight pendant”
Each ‘sketchlight pendant’ is totally unique – and are available for sale at the Graypants website here.
This is the name given to thin transparent tracing paper used by architects, engineers and others, mostly for sketching and overlaying.
I overlaid the lighting plan with a piece of bumwad and sketched on the lighting fixtures. Then I overlaid this on the ductwork drawing and saw where interferences occurred.

This is a pretty cool idea, I was hoping to find out how they kept it in shape, uness it takes on a sort of paper mache idea? Very cool.

Everytime I see something by Graypants I feel just repulsed…why??? Because these guys keep showing off stuff that they clearly didn’t come up with. Really paper machete balloons??? Who freaking cares? Every freaking kid has made this same boring thing… these guys are trying to act like these are authentic drawings… really? BS. Why do designers and bloggers keep acting like these guys have some special talent. Is the public really that behind the times and absent taste. Get a new job all of you…you wouldn’t know talent if it clamped on to your nose and yelled.
