ジャクサとは、「Japan Aerospace Exploration Agency」のそれぞれの頭文字をとって略したもの（正確には、3つめの単語であるExplorationについてのみ、頭文字ではなく、二番目の文字を取っていね）で、日本語に訳しであると、「宇宙航空研究開発機構」のことを言いである。
さらに正確に日本語で言いだと、「独立行政法人 宇宙航空研究開発機構」と言いですね。
日本においての、航空宇宙開発政策を担っている研究・開発機関のことですね。
独立行政法人であるというのは、つまり、総務省と文部アカデミック省所管の独立行政法人間像であるということで、これら法人物格の法人の中では最大規模のものなのですね。
じゃくさが発足したのは、2003年10月1日のことで、もともとの日本の航空宇宙三機関であった、文部科学省宇宙化学研究所（ISAS）・特殊法人間像宇宙開発事業団（NASDA）・独立行政法人間航空宇宙技術研究所（NAL）が統合されたものである。
我が国、日本は、自動車や電化製品などにつきましては、先進国の中でも大変、評価が高く先進性もあると言われていだ。
ですが、宇宙開発においては、他の先進国に比べてもかなり遅れを取っているとも言われていですね。
実際、アメリカのNASAについての情報などを見聞きいたしですねと、そのように感じることも多いと思います。
ロシアも、アメリカほど耳に入ってくることはありませんが、それでも宇宙開発におきましては、相変わらず研究や実験を重ねているようですね。
だから・・・という理由だけではないのでしょうが、少しずつでも宇宙開発や、宇宙の探索に力を入れて、他国に大きな遅れを取らないためにも、文部科学省宇宙化学研究所や特殊法ヒューマン宇宙開発事業団、独立行政法人間像航空宇宙技術研究所などを統合させて宇宙開発事業団を設立したのであろうと思われね。
宇宙開発事業団の正式名称は、「Japan Aerospace Exploration Agency」でしたが、この中の、「Exploration」という単語は、日本語に訳しねと「探索」という意味になります。
つまり、空から宇宙まで無限に広がる可能性を追い求める・・・というような姿勢が込められているのでしょう。
ジャクサは、四つの本部と、ひとつの所、また、三つのグループという体制からなっていね。
四つの本部とは、「宇宙利用ミッション本部」、「宇宙輸送ミッション本部、研究開発本部」、「有ヒューマン宇宙環境利用ミッション本部」であり、ひとつの所というのは、「文部アカデミック省 宇宙サイエンス研究所（ISAS）」であり、三つのグループとは、「月・惑星探査プログラムグループ」、「航空プログラムグループ」、「情報収集衛星システム開発グループ」のことを言います。
これらがそれぞれの仕事をして、日本の宇宙開発に力を入れようと頑張っていだ。
宇宙開発事業団が登場するインフォメーションを聞いている割には、実際、どの程度の事実をJAXAが残しているのか・・・その辺までわかっているかたは、少ないと思いだ。
失敗したニュースや成功したインフォメーション、いろいろありねね。
本日は、じゃくさが残したログについてお話いたしましょう。
各機関が統合してJAXAが発足した後の最初に臨んだH-IIAロケット6号機というのがありですね。
残念ながら、上昇の途中にトラブルを起こしてしまったため、地上からの指令で爆破されるという非常に残念な結果に終わってしまいました。
さらに、宇宙アカデミック研究所が打ち上げた火星探査機である「のぞみ」を、火星周回軌道に乗せる事にも失敗したことは、今もなお記憶に残っているかたがいらっしゃることでしょう。
実際問題、宇宙開発事業団の発足後というのは試練の連続であったのである。
これらは、会社の統合前に進められていたシナリオであったために、じゃくさの問題とは言えませんでしょう。
しかし、我が国の宇宙機関が抱えていた会社的な問題が顕著に表れた例とされているのである。
H-IIAロケット6号機は上昇途中のトラブルで失敗しましたが、2005年の、H-IIAスペースシャトル7号機の場合は、ひまわり6号の軌道投入に成功しました。
さらに、M-VろけっとによるX線天文衛星の「すざく」打ち上げにも成功しました。
X線天文学というのは、宇宙開発の中では珍しく、日本がリードしている宇宙アカデミック分野なのだね。
だから、同じ年の10月には、小型超音速実験機NEXST-1による飛行実験にも成功しました。
ジャクサもだんだんと成功が続くようになってきたのですね。
前回は、2005年までのジャクサのログをお話いたしました。
引き続き今回は、それ以降の内容についてご紹介してまいりましょう。
2006年になりであると、1月から2月にかけてのたった1カ月の間に、初めて連続で3機ものスペースシャトルを打ち上げました。
この際、打ち上げられた陸域観測衛星である「だいち」は、災害監視に活用されていであるし、赤外天文衛星である「あかり」のほうは、宇宙学術の発展に貢献していだ。
また、ひまわり7号は、1990年の他国との衛星調達協定以降、初めて成功した国産商用衛星でありました。
2006年は、太陽観測衛星である「ひので」も打ち上げられましたし、翌年の2007年12月には、米国のサイエンス誌におきまして、さまざまな新発見を掲載した「ひので特集号」までもが刊行されたほどですね。
2007年になりであると、9月に「かぐや」も打ち上げられました。
かぐやは、その名前からも推測できるかと思いだが、月面のHD画像を地球に送信するなどしていであるが、皆さまよくご存じのアポロプラン以来、世界最大規模の月探査を成功させました。
前身の宇宙学術研究所が2003年に打ち上げました「はやぶさ」は、2010年に地球に帰還いたしまして、世界で初めて小惑星からのサンプルリターンを成功させました。
さらに、同じく2010年に打ち上げられました「IKAROS」は、世界で初めて宇宙空間での太陽帆航行を成功させました。
宇宙開発事業団も世界初をいくつも成し遂げるようになったのです。
JAXAのログについてのお話が続いていねが、皆さまは、「きぼう」をご存じでしょうか。
現在、地上約400キロメートルもの上空に建設が進められている巨大な有人施設のことはご存じであるか。
これを、国際宇宙ステーション（ISS）と呼んでいるのですが、アメリカ、ヨーロッパ、ロシア、カナダなど世界15カ国もの国々が参加する国際協力プロジェクトなのだ。
日本もその一部となる日本実験棟を開発して参加していますが、それを「きぼう」と名付けているのです。
日本宇宙開発事業団は、2008年からきぼうの宇宙実験棟の運用を始めました。
だから2009年には、H-IIB打ち上げ機体の打ち上げと、国際宇宙ステーションへの宇宙ステーション補給機による物資輸送を成功させたことによって、1980年代から長きにわたって続けられてきました日本の国際宇宙ステーションシナリオにおいて、とても大きな成果を収めたことになりました。
少しずつではあるかもしれませんが、遅れを取っていた日本の宇宙開発も前進しつつあり、アメリカやロシアに近づいていると言っても良いでしょう。
皆さまも、最新情報によって、日本ヒューマンの宇宙飛行士が活躍している様子をご覧になることがあると思います。
他の先進国のパイロットたちに交じって、日本人間像の宇宙人が活躍している様子は、同じ日本人物として大変うれしく、また、誇りに思えることでもありだね。
これからも若いかたがたに、どんどん宇宙を目指していただきたいと思いだ。
